Etienne Mordier and Eva Mathis met a few years ago on a film set while working as technicians. They quickly discovered that their visions of cinema closely aligned and could flourish further on a common thread. This is how they decided to found in July 2022 a film production association that they called "dans l'oreille de Neptune" (In Neptune's ear) in reference to their particular attraction to the sea and underwater landscapes. The association is located in the Var, where Eva grew up. Both decided to return there with the aim of producing films that claim their belonging to the Mediterranean territory, especially in the sea.

Etienne trained as an OPV cameraman, worked for several years as a sports cameraman and has worked for 5 years as a set electrician on feature films and series. At the same time, he is developing an activity as a director of photography in fiction and documentaries.

Eva graduated from ENS Louis Lumière in Paris in 2019 with a major in Cinema. She works as a cinematographer on short films and works in parallel as a set electrician on feature films and series.

Eva is also a director: she directed her first short film, From Salvador , co-produced by dans l'oreille de Neptune and nashProds in 2024. Eva is currently writing a documentary film, Electro is now , produced by the film companies nashProds and Élever la voix films .

Eva and Etienne have been scubadiving together for 4 years and hold the 0-B hyperbaric aptitude certificate which allows them to take professional underwater shots between 0 and 12 meters deep.

With dans l'oreille de Neptune , Eva and Etienne want to increase their artistic encounters and partnerships, particularly by focusing on co-productions. They are currently developing a second short fiction film written by Eva, Madame Erica.
